Kingdom Series Part 2: THE JUDGE AND THE TWO THRONES

What things distinguish Jesus from an earthly judge?

Hebrews 1:3 AMP “He is the sole expression of the glory of God [the Light-being, the out-raying or radiance of the Divine], and He is the perfect imprint and very image of [God’s] nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by His mighty word of power. When He had by offering Himself accomplishing our cleansing of sins and radiance of guilt, He sat down at the right hand of the divine Majesty on high.

The phrase ‘Sole Expression’ as used by the scripture here means One and Only. Beloved, God the Father, could not and will not commit the end-time administration of justice to no less a Being other than the Sole Expression of Himself, One who by love offered Himself as a sacrifice for mankind. This will take place on the day when God judges people's secrets through Jesus Christ …(Romans 2:16). This indicates that God considers the end-time judgment as serious.

It also implies that He is not like an earthly judge imbued with earthly wisdom and power. The Messiah is the power of God and the wisdom of God (1 Corinthians 1:24 Aramaic Bible). Therefore as God's power and God's wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:24)..Christ Jesus, … has become for us wisdom from God (1 Corinthians 1:30). It is in him that all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden (Colossians 2:3). Therefore… true wisdom and power are found in God; counsel and understanding are his (Job 12:13).

Yeshua’s understanding - binah (bee-naw')-(Strongs Concordance:998) is clear and perfect discernment. His understanding is infinite (Psalm 147:5). Advice and insight are his, He is the super intelligence. "Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and praise!"(Rev 5:12).

The brightness of His presence (Psalm 18:12), His appearance will be grand, marvelous, glorious and wonderful. He will be clothed in a majestic kingly robe of bright light and glory (see Psalm 104:2). The brilliance of His light will overawe all as He is the immortal that lives in unapproachable light! Amen. His attire will not only show that He is a judge but that He is the owner of every soul. You maybe the owner of your body but not your soul. He comes that every soul living or dead will be called to give an account (Acts 10:42; Romans 14:12).

When Messiah appears as a Judge

When the Son of Man comes in his glory, accompanied by all the angels, he will sit on his glorious throne (Matthew 25:31, CJB). He will be accompanied by a retinue and myriads of His holy Angels, not the police or earthly soldiers. When He comes as a judge, those that are ashamed of Him, those that are adulterous, unfaithful, and all sinful generations will be banished (Mark 8:38).

TWO THRONES… JUDGEMENT AND GRACE

Universal judgement

At His first coming, He appeared as a prisoner before the bar and jury and was condemned. In part one of this post, we saw that at His second coming, He will be a Judge on the bench judging all. Next I saw a great white throne and the One sitting on it. Earth and heaven fled from his presence, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, both great and small, standing in front of the throne (Revelation 20:11 – 12, CJB). What a huge difference! I don’t know if that made an impact on you.

All people, all nations appearing before Him means that the last judgment will be universal. All people will be summoned. Christ Jesus, …will judge the living and the dead at his appearing and His kingdom (2 Timothy 4:1). Therefore, there will be no resistance, no attempt to reject His summoning. Earthy kings, heads of state, the rich and the poor will be called to give an account. Right now He is seated on the throne of grace.

What is the throne of Grace?

Right now as you are reading this message He is seated on the throne of grace at the right hand of God. Hebrews  4:16 “Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the Throne of grace (Throne of God’s unmerited favour to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need {appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it}.” The throne of grace is a throne of mercy, compassion, kindness, clemency and forgiveness. It is a place of honour specially prepared for Yeshua by God. Now is the time to plead for compassion and mercy. The throne of grace is filled with love. So cast your eyes upon the throne of grace. Repent and ask for clemency and forgiveness and your request shall be granted.

We have a little time left to do this. When this time elapses, what humanity will be left with is a time of judgment. When the Son of God, the Judge appears, His coming to sit on the throne of Judgment will be terrible for some. But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God's wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed (Romans 2:5).
