Romans 10:9-11 (Amplified Bible)
9Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.
11The Scripture says, No man who believes in Him [who adheres to, relies on, and trusts in Him] will [ever] be put to shame or be disappointed.
What an awesome promise child of God. The currency of the Spirit is faith. My bible tells me that it is impossible to please God without faith. Jesus went further to tell us that trouble will come to try to test our faith. Have you noticed how every time you get a word from God the enemy always tries to attack the validity of that word?
It is up to us to take the word and STAND and believe the report of the Lord. Satan will orchestrate events that are designed to steal your peace and minister defeat. His greatest weapon is FEAR and intimidation because he knows that once you are fearful you are operating in his territory.
In the name of Jesus I take authority over every spirit of intimidation; I bind its operation in your life and cast it out. Amen.
The word of God always has a remedy for anything the enemy tries to engineer. What did Jesus say to the storm when the disciples were fearful and their faith had left them? Let’s look at the scriptures and see what they say:
Matthew 8:23-27 (New International Version)
Jesus Calms the Storm
Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. [THAT IS COMPLETE PEACE! A KIND THAT SURPASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING].The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”
He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”
Do you see the link that Jesus makes between little faith and fear. The next time the enemy stirs up a storm in your life, use the word of God to decree peace into the storm and it shall cease. Persist in your faith child of God. Fight for “your” peace. You need to guard your heart.
The bible tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7 (Weymouth New Testament)
For the Spirit which God has given us is not a spirit of cowardice, but one of power and of love and of sound judgement.
Other versions use the word fear instead of cowardice. Satan attacks the mind in an effort to make one unstable. Fear is the strongman that holds the door open for terror and torment. That is why God talks about giving us His Power (to exert force and withstand the pressure being applied by the enemy in our minds).
He gives us His Spirit of love that brings reassurance and security to dispel the power of the demonic in our minds. This all brings the peace that surpasses all understanding (as demonstrated by Jesus in the boat). When you have this peace of God, you will ALWAYS have a sound mind. How do you cultivate it? By abiding in the word of God; read it, say it out loud memorise scripture. The word will renew your mind to align itself with God. It will cultivate the mind of Christ in you.
In the name of Jesus, let this mind that is in Christ also be in you. Amen.
Say:
“NO devil in hell is going to steal the word and my faith in Jesus away from me in Jesus name!”
Romans 10: 12 - 15 (Amplified Bible)
12[No one] for there is no distinction between Jew and Greek. The same Lord is Lord over all [of us] and He generously bestows His riches upon all who call upon Him [in faith].
13For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord [invoking Him as Lord] will be saved.
14But how are people to call upon Him Whom they have not believed [in Whom they have no faith, on Whom they have no reliance]? And how are they to believe in Him [adhere to, trust in, and rely upon Him] of Whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without a preacher?
15And how can men [be expected to] preach unless they are sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who bring glad tidings! [How welcome is the coming of those who preach the good news of His good things!]
Call upon the Lord Jesus Christ and He will answer you. He does not show partiality. He is the God of all races and nations. He created, understands and hears all languages. He gives liberally to all who call on Him. He has never forsaken any who call Him.
Stop flogging yourself with self-condemnation and cry to Him now. Self-condemnation gives the enemy a chance to seize the moment and continue his torment and torture. The scripture says, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” You will never be ashamed. Sure!
Confession
Lord Jesus I have come to realization that I have nowhere else to run to. Everything else has failed. Condemnation has also not yielded any fruit for me. Father I commit this situation I find myself in it now into your Holy hands. Have mercy upon me and save me. Deliver me from personal mistakes and error and have your way in my life and destiny. Let me live from now onwards a life free from terror, fear and faithlessness, In Jesus mighty name I pray!
