The Word of God is Power(ful)

Gen 1:1-31

Child of God, let us look at the power that resides in the word of God otherwise known as the bible. As you well know, the Christian life is centered on the word of God. It is [the word] Spirit breathed and Spirit formed – which means that it is not the conception of man. It is dynamic and multi- layered. That is why you can read the same verse and it yields a new revelation each time.

The word of God has a spirit and has the ability to enliven, refresh, direct, correct, convict. It is a mirror that helps us glimpse our selves, by comparing ourselves to its standards. It is our manual or what I like to call the book of life. Let us briefly look at the characteristics of the Word.

Heb 4:12 AMP

For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; 

It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, 

and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.

Beloved of God, His word that He honours above His name, is a living entity - meaning it has the power to replicate itself. That is why when we speak the word it turns into a seed that produces after its own kind. Therefore Child of God, make the word of God a priority in your life.

It is FULL OF POWER. Power to regenerate your mind and conform it to the thoughts and purposes of God; power to change your circumstances; power to minister LIFE in any dead situation. But most importantly it has the power to change you. 

The Word of God can heal you, set you free from bondage. It literally houses the anointing that breaks the yoke. The word of God is the tool that a believer can use to wash away the power of sin and it scourge. But it only works if you read it, say it and meditate it. The same way your physical body needs food and drink to function, your spirit needs spiritual food which is the word combined with prayer.

John 1: 1-5 AMP

IN THE beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself.

He was present originally with God.

All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being.

In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men.

And the Light shines on in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it [put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it, and is unreceptive to it].

This verse tells you and me that Jesus is the substance of all creation. We should then examine the pattern that was used in Genesis to create the word. The world and all creation were SPOKEN into being. Child of God this is a great key in our walk on this earth. If we are to occupy and dominate we need to know the word and speak it into every situation that does not reflect the Kingdom of God. The angels of God hearken to the sound of the word of God. That is why you see our confessions and teachings are based on the word of God.

Beloved this is a conscious reminder that as believer we wield authority and power. Whenever we speak the word of God with His unction in Jesus' name, we create things. 

The word of God IS powerful. God created the Heaven and Earth with His word. He spoke, it came into being. What had not been in existence came to be. He spoke to what was dead and formless, Life came into it. 

He spoke to darkness and light came. His word has an awesome creative power that transforms. Has ability to resurrect. God’s word is active. As His word goes out He enforces it with authority and power. Just proclaim His word and it shall be done. Just realize that you are an image of the most High set over to have dominion over the Earth. 

You have power in Jesus name, over circumstances and environment. His word is light that shines light into any dark situation. The power in that light cannot be overcome by darkness. Darkness does Not understand the light and thus can NEVER defeat the light. You are  a child of Light. Just speak the word your life will change. Speak the word your marriage, finance, business will change. His word is a transformer.

Confession

Father by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, I take authority over every situation and circumstance facing me. I take dominion over my environment and I command every power, force of wickedness operating in my environment to submit their power and authority to  Jesus Christ now! 

I decree a change in my situation NOW. Change to my favour. I command events and happenings to turn to my favour. (Begin to speak to what you want to change and decree how it should change).
