Zero Hour

Read Exodus 14:10-14 (NIV)
As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up, and there were the Egyptians, marching after them. They were terrified and cried out to the LORD. They said to Moses, “Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt?

Didn’t we say to you in Egypt, ‘Leave us alone; let us serve the Egyptians’? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!” Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

Beloved have you arrived at ZERO HOUR? Zero hour is when you are overwhelmed by unresolved challenges that keep piling up, by problems that seem insurmountable, by troubles that seem to come from nowhere. Zero hour is your mess hour. Perhaps you are in a mess right now! When there is no help; when everyone has deserted you, even the people you have helped and rescued have all run away! That is your mess hour.

Zero hour is when you are confused and you don’t know who to turn to. When there are zero options open to you. Perhaps you are feeling used, discarded and dumped! Everyone seems to have rejected you and you have lost all hope and you are contemplating doing something drastic!

Beloved wait! Just hang on! Don’t lose hope. When your situation has reached the point where you say to yourself, “If God does not help me nobody can!”

Psalm 130
Out of the depths I cry to you, LORD; Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy. If you, LORD, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.

I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope. I wait for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning. Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with him is full redemption. He himself will redeem Israel from all their sins.

There is still hope for you; though it looks like you are cut down, down and out. I have some good news for you. You “Will sprout again. The tender shoots of” your life and destiny “will not cease”. God has sent a deliverer, a rescuer; a restorer to deliver and salvage you out of that mess. His name is Jesus.

Acts 4:11
Jesus is “the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.”
1 Pet 2:7
Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, “The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.”

Christ, He has come to make the rejected stone (you) the capstone, the chief cornerstone in your environment, ”this is the Lord’s doing: It is marvellous in our eyes”.
