PERSONAL PROPHECIES TO MOVE YOU FORWARD IN LIFE

At any given time we are passing through different seasons in our lives. Today we are going to learn how to handle practical challenges and problems confronting you in your every day life. God has made provision on how to tackle them. Unfortunately, when such problems come many Christians begin to run from pillar to post. They don’t know what to do and end up in the wrong hands while trying to solve the problem. We are going to look at how to prophesy over such situations and see how to use personal prophecy to solve problems, no matter how multi-faceted they seem.

WHAT IS PROPHECY?

Prophecy is the spoken or written word of God. Every word of God is a prophecy. It is spoken or released by God for a particular situation or circumstance. It is a divine forth-telling or foretelling. A statement predicting what God decreed to happen in future. It is a special message from God directed to a person, people or a situation.

Prophecy is a statement indicating accurately and correctly what has happened in the past. It is speaking by inspiration from God. It is speaking and declaring boldly the word from God. Another important dimension of prophecy it is the promises of God as written in the scripture. It is contained in the law and the prophets.

18For truly I tell you, until the sky and earth pass away and perish, not one smallest letter nor one little hook [identifying certain Hebrew letters] will pass from the Law until all things [it foreshadows] are accomplished. 19Whoever then breaks or does away with or relaxes one of the least [important] of these commandments and teaches men so shall be called least [important] in the kingdom of heaven, but he who practices them and teaches others to do so shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:18-19 AMP)

WHAT THEN IS PERSONAL PROPHECY?

It is when you are confessing and believing the word of God. It is when you believe and appropriate the promises of God. Personal prophecy means making predictions concerning your life and destiny, according to the will of God as revealed in the scripture.

14And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us.15And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him. (1 John 5:14-15 AMP)

As you can see from the word above, it means speaking the word of God over situations, conditions or circumstances you find yourself in. It is making positive statements regarding your needs, wants and desires. Believe God and His word to set you free.

WHY DO YOU NEED TO MAKE PERSONAL PROPHECY?

It shows the expression of your belief and faith in God. Without faith no man can please God. It is a sign of your loyalty and submission to the sovereignty and will of the LORD God almighty over situations and circumstances. It also creates an atmosphere where God can come in and demonstrate His power. Making personal prophecy is confessing the TRUTH, and the truth which is the word of God is the only instrument that will set you free.

16Therefore, [inheriting] the promise is the outcome of faith and depends [entirely] on faith, in order that it might be given as an act of grace (unmerited favor), to make it stable and valid and guaranteed to all his descendants--not only to the devotees and adherents of the Law, but also to those who share the faith of Abraham, who is [thus] the father of us all. 17As it is written, I have made you the father of many nations. [He was appointed our father] in the sight of God in Whom he believed, Who gives life to the dead and speaks of the nonexistent things that [He has foretold and promised] as if they [already] existed.18[For Abraham, human reason for] hope being gone, hoped in faith that he should become the father of many nations, as he had been promised, So [numberless] shall your descendants be.19He did not weaken in faith when he considered the [utter] impotence of his own body, which was as good as dead because he was about a hundred years old, or [when he considered] the barrenness of Sarah's [deadened] womb. 20No unbelief or distrust made him waver (doubtingly question) concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God,21Fully satisfied and assured that God was able and mighty to keep His word and to do what He had promised.22That is why his faith was credited to him as righteousness (right standing with God).23But [the words], It was credited to him, were written not for his sake alone, 24But [they were written] for our sakes too. [Righteousness, standing acceptable to God] will be granted and credited to us also who believe in (trust in, adhere to, and rely on) God, Who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. (Romans 4:16-24 AMP)

Making personal prophecy will move you forward. It will change the situation and circumstances the kingdom of darkness brought against you and help you overcome them. Personal prophecy will enable God to change your life and make it better. It will enable God to move you to the next level of your life and destiny. It brings God promises to pass.

It enables Holy Spirit to move in and fight for you. Holy Spirit works with the word of God, so prophesying on your life is a direct invitation of the Holy Spirit to come and take over. It brings blessings, victory, strength and power.
