Keep on Knocking

Effective Prayer

 ⁷ “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. ⁸ For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. ⁹ “You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? ¹⁰ Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! ¹¹ So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him. (Matthew 7:7-11 New Living Translation)

Keep on knocking, knock harder and the door will be opened for you. Knock at the door of mercy. Knock at the throne room of grace it will surely be opened for you. Don’t fear to knock. Let nothing distract you from knocking.

Beloved, note that you are not a stranger. Only strangers are denied access. You are an heir to the throne of grace. You are a bona fide child of the Most High God. You are a friend of Your Father the Lord of lords and King of kings.

God does not shut His ear to His children. The scripture says “If earthly fathers know how to give good gifts, how much more Him, the heavenly Father.” Child of God, He made this pledge, on oath that He can and is willing to honour. Remember, God honours His word more than His Name.

Do you know the sheep knows the shepherd the same way the shepherd knows his sheep? This should be your relationship with the Father. God knows us but we barely know Him. He knows you and knows your needs. He knows your every desire. Look at it this way, babies know their mothers and mothers know their babies. There is no mother who does not know the voice or cry of her baby and no trick can pervert a baby from knowing who her/his mother is. Do you know when a baby wants attention or is hungry he will start crying or make some sign that only its mother/guardian understands? Immediately the baby will receive the desired attention. The moment you cry out, God knows your voice because you are precious to Him.

 

²⁴For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it] (Mark 11:24 Amplified Bible).

Because of the above stated reason whatever you ask Him in prayer and believe in your heart, you will get it. When you knock and confidently believe the door will open for you. When you ask and trust in God it will be granted to you.

¹³ And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. ¹⁴ If you ask anything in My name, I will do it (John 14:13-14, New King James Version).

Again Jesus Christ, our Lord and personal Saviour, is saying to you, “I will do anything you ask in my name, so that the Father will be magnified.” What other assurance do you need? When you ask the doors and windows of Heavens will be opened to you and you will gain entry, the desires of your heart will be release to you. This is divine assurance so keep on asking, keep on knocking! Don’t relent! God Bless.
