1 Peter 3: 10 AMP [in context 1 Peter 3:9-11]
For let him who wants to enjoy life and see good days [good--whether apparent or not] keep his tongue free from evil and his lips from guile (treachery, deceit).
The Easy-to-Read Version (ERV) puts it this way:
“If you want to enjoy true life and have only good days, then avoid saying anything hurtful, and never let a lie come out of your mouth.
