The Word is God.

John 1:1-5 AMP

1IN THE beginning [before all time] was the Word Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself.2He was present originally with God. 3All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being.4In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men. 5And the Light shines on in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it [put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it, and is unreceptive to it

In the beginning means before all things or time were made. So the statement, “In the beginning”, should capture our attention. When something begins, when an event begins, it means there is something that is or was pre-existing. Something can either be existing and still, make room for another thing to exist side by side with it or had to die first for another thing to occupy the vacuum created by it. The bible tells us that what existed and would continue to exist was and is the WORD only.

The bible says, ‘Heaven and Earth will pass away but the WORD will abide forever.’  Why, because the WORD created the Heavens and the Earth.  The Word was with God and was God and is still God. The Word of God looks like what you speak (Remember you are created in the image and likeness of God). Does the word you speak look for existence?  It already exists from where it originates and the originator is the speaker.  The word is the speaker and the speaker is the word.

Proverbs 23:7 says, “As a man speaks, so he is.” What you say with your mouth is within you. The bible also tells us that, ‘Out of the fullness of the heart, the mouth speaks.” If what I am saying is the same as me, I need to make sure that I allow the Spirit of God to indwell and fill my heart. So that when I speak, the law of kindness is on my lips.

Have you ever wondered about what happens when you utter a word? Does it start looking for a place to stay, a room to perch on or a home to domicile? No, the word keeps moving into realms [physical and spiritual]. The word you say can be captured by an instrument [i.e. mobile technology in the physical and a spiritual record (both good and bad), I do not know what technology is used in the spirit to capture these words but the bible tells us that there is a record that is being kept for all creatures on earth. Similarly, when you utter or release your word(s), they keep moving and make a mark both in the spirit and the physical.

We sometimes say things that we wish we could retract and withdraw but the reality is they make their mark and can cause damage. The effect is moderated by the recipient/target and destination. Does this mean that once you have said something you cannot cancel the curse and evil effect of it? No, it does not. There is nothing the blood of Jesus cannot not cancel or reverse. The account of creation is a prime example of this. Remember, there was confusion before God brought order using the WORD. However, this does not mean we should be careless with our words because the enemy uses careless words to kill, steal and destroy. So mind what you say Child of God.

Let’s go back to John 1a, ‘1IN THE beginning [before all time]...’. It talks about the beginning. Remember the Word pre-dates everything including “TIME”. The Word created every other thing in existence. Beloved, God was not looking for a home to live in. The WORD (God) did not create the heavens and earth because He had no place to stay nor was He looking for a home to reside. No, The WORD (God) is everywhere at the same time even when there were no Heavens and Earth. He is the only being who is omnipresent (everywhere), omniscient (all knowing) and omnipotent (all powerful). He holds the universe in His hands. If you understand that the Words He uttered in Genesis are still going forth and creating, you will see He is limitless. That is one way you can imagine how great, awesome, and wonderful our God is. He is Spirit.

In closing, God decided to create the heavens and earth because He had a programme to create mankind in His own image and likeness. He created the heavens and the earth as an inheritance for and as a benefit for mankind. Let us appreciate the heart of God, He is full of Love and good benefits.
