The Word of God is the Root of Life.

1 John1: 1-5 (AMP)

¹[WE ARE writing] about the Word of Life [in] Him Who existed from the beginning, Whom we have heard, Whom we have seen with our [own] eyes, Whom we have gazed upon [for ourselves] and have touched with our [own] hands. ²And the Life [an aspect of His being] was revealed (made manifest, demonstrated), and we saw [as eyewitnesses] and are testifying to and declare to you the Life, the eternal Life [in Him] Who already existed with the Father and Who [actually] was made visible (was revealed) to us [His followers].³What we have seen and [ourselves] heard, we are also telling you, so that you too may realize and enjoy fellowship as partners and partakers with us. And [this] fellowship that we have [which is a distinguishing mark of Christians] is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ (the Messiah). ⁴And we are now writing these things to you so that our joy [in seeing you included] may be full [and your joy may be complete]. ⁵And this is the message [the message of promise] which we have heard from Him and now are reporting to you: God is Light, and there is no darkness in Him at all [no, not in any way]. 

The Word of God is life, the very root of all life. He existed from the beginning as we established in the post, ‘The Word is God’. God has no beginning and no ending that is why He is LIFE-Eternal and OMNI-Existent. He does not live, level off and die. He is immortal. His immortality transcends the comprehension of mankind. He is forever living and an everlasting God; a source of renewal and refreshing for the believer who has learnt to draw from this quality in God. In Jesus there is a spiritual existence transcending death, in eternity. He is the Source of life on earth and in eternity for His followers. This self existent life force in Almighty God has the ability to make the intangible tangible. In short His Word can quicken nonexistent, empty and void situations and turn them into life giving entities – this is the account of creation.  

God spoke the Word and called into existence those things which did not exist before. Rom 4:17.

Therefore Child of God, the Spirit in the and behind the WORD is life and gives life. Every living thing or soul owes its existence to Him. The scripture says The WORD (God) breathed the breath of life upon an image he made out of sand {dust} and it became a living soul. [Gen 2:7].

We all come from this, dust.

No human being or power has the ability or access to this technology exhibited by God. Have you ever heard, “From dust you came and to dust you will return?” I am paraphrasing of course but this demonstrates the Power of LIFE in God. That is why, “In Him we move and live and have our being” Acts 17:28. By His command we were framed, conceived and materialised and manifested as beings, made in His image and likeness. 

God breathe LIFE into dust and we became living souls.

There is no power that can turn an image [reflection, representation, likeness] into something tangible. Amen! As believers, true life is really only experienced when we connect with the root, the Source and Creator of all LIFE, THE WORD. Look at this scripture:
 

Revelation 4:11 NKJV

¹¹ “You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created.”

This scripture shows us that our lives are designed for a purpose. The Will [Spirit] of God caused our destinies to come into existence. It was a deliberate act of the resolve of God. Whatever exists is by the will of the Word which is Life-Eternal. This Life-Eternal was made manifest in human form through His one and only Son Jesus Christ. In the Word is Life and there is no real Life outside of the Word.

 

^“16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. ¹⁷ For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved” (John 3:16-17 NKJV).

This means that Jesus is the Word and He is the Life. He does not just have life but He is life itself. The Power of the Life in God means that death and the grave have no power or jurisdiction over Him or you as his follower. When Jesus descended into hell he went to get the title deeds to the power that had been given to death and hell. These two entities are the antithesis of everything God represents, LIFE. When we are in Jesus we can confidently say, ‘Oh death where is your sting.’ They have been disarmed by the LIFE of God. Jesus raised a man who had been dead for 4 days from the grave, Lazarus. When Jesus rose from the dead, the bible tells us that numerous people that had been dead also rose from the dead. We will never experience death and separation for we are hidden in the very LIFE of God. 

God is a God of order and He has created in us a special thing called a will. Remember we are made in His likeness, God has a will as we have seen. In the same way God wants every man to choose Him out of their own free will and volition. Have you ever asked yourself where will I spend my eternity? There is a choice before you: life and death. Deuteronomy, 30:19. The bible says there are 2 places where the soul of a human can spend eternity- Heaven or hell. Heaven is life and hell is death.

Rom 6:23, ²³For the wages which sin pays is death, but the [bountiful] free gift of God is eternal life through (in union with) Jesus Christ our Lord.
  

 If you have not taken the decision on where you will spend your eternity, you need to now. John 20: ³¹But these are written (recorded) in order that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ (the Anointed One), the Son of God, and that through believing and cleaving to and trusting and relying upon Him you may have life through (in) His name [through Who He is].

Don’t pay heed to teachings that say there is no Heaven (eternal Life) ,Hell (eternal death) or satan (agent of death, as his mandate is to steal, kill and destroy). There is a Heaven, a hell and a devil. 

John 6:47, ⁴⁷I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, he who believes in Me [who adheres to, trusts in, relies on, and has faith in Me] has (now possesses) eternal life.

Heaven is a place where all who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour will spend their eternity. Remember it is the blood of Jesus that qualifies us not our deeds. The righteous deeds we do are a result of the LIFE and Spirit of God in us. We are the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus. This is so that no man can boast.

John 14:6, ⁶Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.

Hell is a place reserved for people who rejected Jesus Christ. This includes sinners, evil-doers and all who are classified as enemies of God. The Book of life is being compiled right now and all who’s names are not found in the book will be pushed into Hell fire where torment, torture and gnashing of teeth (regrets) will be the order of the day. In Heaven there is no more crying, no more sorrow. There is nothing like lack. It is Joy and happiness only. It is full of life and a place where your JOY will truly be complete. So if you do not know, the Word of Life, choose him today.
