1Samuel 28:
7Then Saul said to his servants, “Find me a woman who is a medium [between the living and the dead], that I may go and inquire of her.” His servants said, “Behold, there is a woman who is a medium at Endor.”
“There is one in Endor,” Saul’s servants said. Saul then disguised himself, putting on other clothes and went into the night with 2 other men to the woman and said, “Consult a spirit for me. Bring me up the one I named.” But the woman said, “Surely you know what Saul has done. He has cut off the mediums and spiritists from the land. Why have you set a trap for my life to bring about my death?” Not knowing that it was Saul who was standing right there before her.
Can you see what she said? Can you now see how the devil can destroy human beings? How he debased, humiliated and brought Saul, the magnificent man of might down. The enemy had sought to reduce Saul a king to nothing. The mission of the enemy was to disgrace the highly exalted man, King Saul because he had aggressively and systematically destroyed his agents in Israel. But I tell you as believers God has give us the power and might to disgrace the enemy and his agents through prayers. You have got the power to disgrace witches and wizards, “the witches of Endor.”
Child of God, I would like you to look at the gap between Saul, a king and a witch, for you to understand the guile and manipulative nature of satan. How he reduced Saul to go and bow to a witch? Now listen, in order to consult the darkness one has to come under its headship and authority, and bow to it. The lesser power always consults the greater. So in effect Saul demoted himself. My people say, it is, ‘weti isi bia were isi...’ {do you know what it means? it means trade by barter or literally “bring a head to take another head and if the participant refuses to bring a head, they pay with their own head”. This means that the consulter has to carry out a human sacrifice by killing others to remain alive; if they refuse they will die.
If you understand the literal interpretation that is simply the way the devil works. It is only God that can save a life without demanding your own life. The devil does not do that, he doesn’t give anything for free. It is, “weti isi bia were isi”. Eventually Saul paid with his own head for consulting a witch. Let us look at the scripture once more.
Isaiah 19: (AMP)
13The princes of Zoan have become fools, and the princes of Memphis are confused and deceived; those who are the cornerstones of her tribes have led Egypt astray.14The Lord has mingled a spirit of perverseness, error, and confusion within her; [her leaders] have caused Egypt to stagger in all her doings, as a drunken man staggers in his vomit.15Neither can any work [done singly or by concerted action] accomplish anything for Egypt, whether by head or tail, palm branch or rush [high or low].
There was no hope for Saul after consulting with the darkness. For it only brings the following, foolishness, confusion, deception, perverseness, error and nothing accomplished. For one who knows the truth and has been delivered from such, to consult the darkness instead programmes death and backwardness [akin to a dog going back to its vomit]. The devil made Saul a fool and stirred up the spirit of confusion who deceived him. Saul played into the hands of his enemy and the children of Israel were led astray. The rest is history because following that there was a great slaughter of the children of Israel in the battle field by the enemy including Jonathan (Saul’s son and David’s close friend).
Until the rapture there will always be a parallel existence of Light and darkness. And there will always be a struggle between the two on the earth. Deliverance will continue for all who require it but the agents of satan will always be there until the final judgement. Child of God all who consult witches and wizards end up like Saul and are made fools and fit only for destruction. It will never be your portion in Jesus name.
