Psalm 100,
A Psalm of thanksgiving and
for the thank offering.
1 Make a joyful
noise to the Lord, all you lands! 2 Serve the Lord with gladness! Come
before His presence with singing! 3 Know (perceive, recognize, and
understand with approval) that the Lord is God! It is He Who has made us, not
we ourselves [and we are His]! We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. 4 Enter
into His gates with thanksgiving and
a thank offering and into His courts with praise! Be thankful and say so to Him, bless and affectionately praise His name! 5 For
the Lord is good; His mercy and
loving-kindness are everlasting, His faithfulness and truth endure to all generations.
The month of August is a month that
God has opened His gate – A Gate of Righteousness. God is saying, “My door is
open.” And all who shall enter into it shall receive His divine visitation and
shall make a joyful noise. There shall be surprise packages for all that enter
into His Gate of Righteousness and He will show them His goodness, mercy and
kindness. Before we continue with what God has in stock for all who would enter
into His gate of righteousness, let us examine what a gate is.
What is a gate?
A look at the meaning of word gate in Hebrew
shows that it is called Shaʽar in Hebrew (pronounced shah΄-ar) meaning an
opening literally but implies door or gate. It is an entrance. Beloved there is
one thing certain, when you are knocking at the door or gate you are seeking
permission to enter. And when it is opened you are granted access or permission
to enter and have a full view of the facilities inside. You may sometimes be
allowed to use them. You are likely going to meet the owner of the house. With
this spiritual understanding, Jesus had counselled us in Matthew 7:7-8 saying,
7Keep on asking and it will be given you;
keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door]
will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who
keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who
keeps on knocking, [the door] will be opened.
Jesus is saying to you, “Keep knocking on the
supernatural gate of righteousness and it will be opened for you.” When you
enter, you will find all you are looking for. However it is pertinent to point out that in the supernatural there are
2 kinds of gates: the gate of righteousness and the gate of darkness or evil. These 2 gates represent several things both in the supernatural and the
natural world.
So in this message an attempt will be made to present
a picture of what these gates are, especially the gate of righteousness since
we are more concerned with what God is saying concerning it. Without mincing words the gate of darkness represents satan and his
cohorts.
It represents sin, evil, wickedness, hell and its antecedents.
The gate of darkness embodies the works of the flesh. So it is all about
desire.
On the other hand the Gate of Righteousness represents Jesus Christ,
the Messiah. It signifies
Heaven and all its glory. Thus when Heaven opens for you it means you are open
to God and all His glories. It symbolises light which is the exact opposite of darkness. We know God
is LIGHT and when you enter into light you are illumined, transformed and
regenerated. Light cannot comprehend darkness. Inside is righteousness and can
never compromise with darkness.
In the Gate of Righteousness you will meet the Owner of the estate.
You will be given the right and the full access to what is inside the Gate of Righteousness.
Salvation, deliverance, healing are all there. Blessings, breakthroughs, and
miracles are also there. Wealth, riches and prosperity are all waiting for all
who enter. In fact the desire of all those who enter shall be granted. God
shall supply all the needs of those who enter into the gate of righteousness
this month. Just knock on the gate and it will be opened for you.
Psalm 118:19-21
19 Open to me the
[temple] gates of righteousness; I will enter through them, and I will confess and praise the Lord. 20 This is
the gate of the Lord; the [uncompromisingly] righteous shall enter through it. 21 I
will confess, praise, and give
thanks to You, for You have heard and
answered me; and You have become my Salvation and Deliverer.
Psalm 100:4
4 Enter
into His gates with thanksgiving and
a thank offering and into His courts with praise! Be thankful and say so to Him, bless and affectionately praise His name!
It is a place of praise, a place of
joy and happiness. If you have not known peace in your life, once you enter into the gate of righteousness there will
be a total change. Praises and thanksgiving will replace sadness and sorrow.
Grief will disappear! This is because the peace of God that passes all
understanding shall be your portion in the name of Jesus.
Malachi 4:2
2 But unto you who
revere and worshipfully fear My
name shall the Sun of Righteousness arise with healing in His wings and His beams, and you shall go forth
and gambol like calves [released] from the stall and leap for joy.
Beloved the Sun of Righteousness is a
game changer. The Sun in Hebrew is called Shemesh which is pronounced sheh΄-mesh
literally to be brilliant, which can also be used as the ray. Every living organism
on the Earth depends on the sun for energy. Once it appears, darkness gradually
rolls away. The sun can also kill and destroy especially anything that wants to
test its propriety. This is only what the physical sun you see can do but the
Sun of Righteousness can do much more than this when you enter into His Gate.
If you are sick, He will meet you with healing in His wings to heal you. If you
are guilty He will set you free. Enter into the Gate of Righteousness and you
shall leap in joy like calves released from a stall.
Matthew 21:12-15
12 And Jesus went
into the temple (whole temple enclosure) and drove out all who bought and sold
in the sacred place, and He turned over the four-footed tables of the money
changers and the chairs of those who sold doves. 13 He said to them, The
Scripture says, My house shall be called a house of prayer; but you have made
it a den of robbers. 14 And the blind and the lame came to Him in the
porches and courts of the
temple, and He cured them. 15 But when the chief priests and the scribes
saw the wonderful things that He did and the boys and the girls and
the youths and the maidens
crying out in the porches and
courts of the temple, Hosanna (O be propitious, graciously inclined) to the Son
of David! they were indignant.
This scripture is talking about an
entrance that can make a difference in people’s lives and destiny. The Gate of
Righteousness is a place of worship. Inside, you will fellowship and dine
together with the Lord. Unlimited opportunities are given to you to ask
anything in His name and receive it. The den of robbers that had hitherto been
devastating and destroying your lives shall be all cast away. And you shall be
made free and you will ultimately shout Hosanna to the Son of David!
