The Hebrew word for judgment is [מִשְׁפָּט] mishpat {pronounced mish-pawt} (Strong's Concordance: 4941). It further links the word to the act of deciding a case, a time and a place [court or seat of judgment] for the process [litigation] before a judge where a case is presented for judgment. Therefore, judgment is synonymous with words like ruling, decision, sentence and verdict. All these concepts of justice have something to do with the outcome of an action or behaviour, the compliance and non-compliance with a code of conduct. Words like these are reminders that one day an account will be required of you. Every soul that was born here on planet Earth will face the Judgement seat of Christ. His judgment seat also known as a Bema in Greek will be arrayed in real glory and His judgements are/will be righteousness and just.

Who will ask you to render an account of your sojourn on Earth?

The bible says He is a Judge seated on a judgment seat specially reserved for this purpose. He will sit on the glorious seat of judgment. That seat is reserved for Him alone by the Heavenly Father. The scripture calls Him the Son of Man. Who is this Son of Man? He is Jesus, Yeshua the Messiah, the Son of God. “Even the Father judges no one, for He has given all judgment (the last judgment and the whole business of judging) entirely into the hands of the Son” (John 5:22). The administration of justice is committed into His hands.

He is coming again, this time to judge.

Everyone will be judged. For we are all going to stand before the judgment seat of The Messiah, that each man will be paid in his body anything that was done by him, whether of good or of evil (2 Corinthians 5:10; see also Ephesians 6:8). The Holman Christian Bible says we must all appear before the tribunal of Christ, so that each may be repaid for what he has done in the body, whether good or worthless.

His second coming will separate the good from the bad. All the nations will be assembled before him, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates sheep from goats. The ‘sheep’ he will place at his right hand and the ‘goats’ at his left (Matthew 25:32-33, CJB). Everyone who rejected God’s Love shall be condemned. Jesus Christ the Son of God is God’s Love for mankind. He is the Messiah (Saviour), the last hope and opportunity for you to be saved.

What if you reject Him?

Then he will also speak to those on his left, saying, ‘Get away from me, you who are cursed! Go off into the fire prepared for the adversary (satan) and his angels (fallen)! (Matthew 25:41, CJB). You who rejected Jesus and His ways will be sentenced as part of the goat nation. Beloved the prison term is not a finite term of justice. It is an eternal punishment (Matthew 24:46). It is an incarceration for ever in hell. Beloved hell is an abyss, an inferno and damnation. An unbearable and intolerable place to spend eternity.

The scripture says whosoever believes in Him [when? Now, before the time of judgment comes knocking] shall not perish but have everlasting life (John3:16). This means that there is a place where people who are saved will spend their life-eternal. “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you whom my Father has blessed, take your inheritance, the Kingdom prepared for you from the founding of the world (Matthew 24:34).

That place is called Heaven. Beloved, Heaven is a special place, the abode of Everlasting Father. The Immortal, Invisible God. Life-eternal in Heaven means you will put on immortality like Your Father. It implies no more death, sorrow, anguish, and suffering. It is eternal bliss, joy and happiness in the presence of God. God will no longer be invisible to you.

Shalom.
