Who are the goats?
Isn’t it enough for you to keep the best of pastures for
yourselves? Must you also trample down the rest? Isn’t it enough to drink clear
water for yourselves? Must you also muddy the rest with your feet? Why must my
flock eat what you have trampled down and drink water you have fouled? Ezekiel 34:18-19 NLT
Wicked leaders
The goats are wicked leaders that keep the best for
themselves and exploiting those under their leadership. They are those leaders
who reject Christ Jesus, the Messiah and His style of leadership. Christ-like
leadership is servanthood. They are those that loot the blessings reserved for
the sheep from God and appropriate the glory due unto God to themselves. According
to them, it is their wit and prowess that earns them glory. They distort the
gospel of Christ (Galatians 1:7) for their gain.
Atheists
These classes of goat, don’t believe
in the existence of God. The fool says in his heart there is no God (Psalm
14:1a). Such the bible tells us are
corrupt, their deeds are vile/evil and they simply do not do what is right (Psalm
14). They treat God with flippancy and Christ with disdain. They trust in their
intellect (education and mastery of earthy knowledge), fame and/or money. They
do not like to retain God in their knowledge… (Romans 1:28). These vanities,
give them the illusion that they don’t NEED God. Therefore through the pride of
their countenance they do not seek after Him or His ways (Psalm 10:4). They
worship the theories dreamt up by misguided men and women and believe science
proves that God does not exist. Not understanding that they lack the wisdom and
understanding to unravel the mysteries of God. A brutish man knows not; neither
does a fool understand this (Psalm 92:6). Don’t forget at some point scientists
believed that the world was flat. In their attempt to assert their independence
by denying the existence of God, their faith in nothingness is underpinned by a
belief system propagated by their master, satan. Even though they claim they do
not also believe in satan, they serve him unknowingly.
satanists
These include occultists, witches, wizards, all representatives
of satan and the darkness both visible and invisible. According to a BBC
article, their mission is to introduce people to “the perception of satan
around gay marriage and reproductive rights”. Central to their beliefs is the “glorification
and pursuit of knowledge,… where the soul is elevated” Satanists describe
themselves as “secularists and advocates for individual liberty”. This is code for ‘independence’ from Gods
written and spoken word. Does this not sound like the atheists? Satanism is no
longer practiced under the cloak of darkness. The PR machine is in full swing
and their target …children. Apparently, children have the wrong view because of
“propaganda”. They see satan as a “symbol of man’s inherent nature and representative
of the eternal rebel”. These are the last days, when what is good will be
called evil.
Backsliders
To others they repent today and relapse back into sin
tomorrow and stay there. Paul says,…I mourn over those who sinned earlier and
have not repented of the impurity, sexual immorality and sensuality they have
practiced (2 Corinthians 12:21). We need to abide in Christ so that we don’t
wither (John 15:6). When we backslide we sin against God (Jeremiah 14:7). We
must be careful to not depart from the faith by devoting ourselves to deceitful
spirits and teachings of demons (1 Timothy4:1) thereby straying after satan (1
Timothy 5:15). Brethren, we need to keep watch of ourselves, lest we too are
tempted into transgression (Galatians 6:1)
The Lukewarm
To many others they are simply neither here nor there. In
other words they are lukewarm, sitting on the fence. What they don’t realise is
that there is no place for luke-warmers, who are neither cold nor hot
(Revelations 3:16) God promises to spit such out. Verse 17 to 19 describes
Lukewarm believers as those that believe they are “rich, prospered, in need of
nothing” yet not realising they are spiritually wretched, pitiful, poor, blind
and naked. They have itching ears and accumulate for themselves teachers to
suit their own passions (2 Timothy 4:3). They are treacherous, reckless,
swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God (2 Timothy
3:4).
Character of the Goat?
This is not making mention of scapegoats that were used in
atonement sacrifices [Hebrews 9:12-13, 19; 10:4]. The focus is on the goats
mentioned in Mathew 25:32-33. A goat is called erifeeon in Greek and saw-eer in
Hebrew. It symbolises wicked personas [Strong Greek’s exhaustive concordance,
2055]. Aside from its natural meaning [a shaggy he-goat or kid] it is also used
to represent devils and roughness [Strong exhaustive concordance, 8163]. In
some versions of the bible the word goat has been translated as satyr, which is
a lustful, drunken (loves wine) and promiscuous human goat hybrid spirit [roman
mythology]. The goat symbol also known as the baphometh sign/symbol is
important in satanic iconography, baphometh has a goat head with an inverted
pentagram on his forehead. This inversion represents the twisting, serpentine
spirit of deception that is satan.
One noticeable oddity of a goat is that s/he is
unruly, rowdy and disruptive. They are corrupt, fraudulent and unethical. Beloved if you don’t
want to be classified as a goat you must empty yourselves of all manner of
corruption and fraud. Corruption is not just enriching one’s pocket illegally
but it has a lot to do with the pollution of the spirit, soul and body. Most of
the things the world describes as “having fun or partying” are corruption. When
your spirit, soul and body are polluted you make yourself inaccessible to Holy
Spirit and His divine visitation. Rather you make yourself susceptible to
satanic visitation and vulnerable to demonic attacks.
Goats are immoral, crooked and shady. Every things goes for
them. They moralise everything. God created you a decent being different from
animals. He expects you to live your life decently, honestly and righteously
and made it possible through Christ Jesus. Those referred to as goats by the
scripture are the wicked, depraved and the decadent. They obey the laws and
customs of nations but not the word of God. This means that the spirit of
Anti-Christ has infested them. The Anti-Christ spirit is the spirit of
secularism and radicalised murderous religious spirits. These spirits oppose
Christ and the gospel of peace. Their life is characterised by dishonesty, and
deceit and duplicity.
