CHRIST IS THE POWER OF GOD AND THE WISDOM FROM GOD 2

1 Corinthians 1:18AMP :  For the story and message of the cross is sheer absurdity and folly to those who are perishing and on their way to perdition, but to us who are being saved it is the [manifestation of] the power of God.
What we see today is that people seek the wisdom and knowledge of man. They have elevated this knowledge above pursuing legitimate knowledge [Christ]. Let me use institutions of higher learning to illustrate my point. Academics hold doctorates, masters and honours degrees that they use as the basis or authority on which they lecture and transfer their knowledge. They are seen as repositories of earthly knowledge and wisdom that push the boundaries of what is into what can be. There are however some academics that go as far as telling people that there is no God. They try to nullify the truth/law of God with unproven theories that they try to pass off as laws. When we talk about God they look at our faith in Him as foolishness. Why? Because many of them are already perishing and the devil is pushing them to perdition. The devil is using confusion to cloud their minds. Sadly, the truth they reject is the one that can actually save them. The Word of salvation they reject is the manifestation of God and His power. Let us see what God says will happen to this limited and limiting ‘knowledge’ of man.
Isaiah 29:14 AMP: Therefore, behold! I will again do marvellous things with this people, marvellous and astonishing things; and the wisdom of their wise men will perish, and the understanding of their discerning men will vanish or be hidden.
The power of God in Christ is the wisdom of God. The abundance of Christ in you is equal to the abundance of knowledge and understanding that will lead you to deliverance, salvation and bring healing into your life. In other words, the level to which you allow Christ to indwell you in all His fullness will influence/affect the level of knowledge and understanding you have of Him. It is what will stop affliction from coming a second time. When we seek to know Christ, people may call it a waste of time. But to us it is the only way to gather wisdom. For God tells us in Isaiah that the ‘wisdom’ of modern day gurus will not stand the test of time, it will perish. The following scripture puts it this way.
1 Corinthians 1:19 AMP; For it is written, I will baffle and render useless and destroy the learning of the learned and the philosophy of the philosophers and the cleverness of the clever and the discernment of the discerning; I will frustrate and nullify [them] and bring [them] to nothing.
Note how absolutely and strongly God comes against this type of ‘wisdom’. It is not constant like the word of God. The word of God does not keep changing from age to age, it is constant and true. The body of knowledge we have today originates from mans attempts to know God and His existence. But these efforts have not solved the problem or quest of man to know God better; because this quest has led human kind farther and farther away from God. Man has neither discovered God through such means nor gotten closer to Him.
God is saying, what man calls wisdom I will bring to naught because it is nothing. When people die and leave this realm everything becomes clear to them. What was foolishness to them before death becomes a crystal clear truth. Many souls desire to come back to the land of the living and make amends but their days of grace are over. When we know the truth from the word we must cling to it until Christ returns. And it is also our duty to let others know the truth we know. To let them know that the truth that saves is the only truth that emanates from the cross of Calvary.
